Does ChatGPT Know Your Business Exists?
Generative engine optimization (GEO) makes your key pages easy for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to read, trust and quote. The AI decides what it quotes, so we never promise a citation.
Why AI answers mention other brands and not yours
Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews which company to call. Those tools quote pages they can read and understand. If your pages bury the answer, show it only after the page loads extra code, which AI tools may not read, or describe your business differently in each place, the tool quotes someone clearer.
-
“We rank on Google, but ChatGPT never mentions us.”
Each key page answers its question in the first sentence, in words an AI tool can quote.
-
“Our services are described differently on every page.”
One set of facts about your business: names, services and profiles that match everywhere.
-
“We don't know what AI tools say about us.”
We ask the AI tools your buyers' questions and record which sources they cite, before and after.
The parts of your site AI tools read before they quote
AI search tools read pages much as search engines do, then quote the clearest source. We work on these parts of your site, including the llms.txt file and structured data (behind-the-scenes labels that tell AI tools what a page is about) we publish on our own site.
-
Answer-first pages for your key questions
Each service page opens with a short, plain answer to the question a buyer asks, then the detail. Clear definitions an AI tool can quote whole.
-
Structured data that matches the page
Labels for your services, questions and where the page sits on your site (its breadcrumb), built from the words on the page, so AI tools read the same facts your visitors see.
-
An llms.txt file for your site
A short plain-text map of your main pages for AI tools, at the root of your site, as we publish on ours. It is an extra, not the main work.
Read our own llms.txt -
Pages AI tools can read
A check that nothing on your site blocks AI tools from reading your pages, including pages that need scripts to show their text.
-
Brand facts that match everywhere
Your name, services and profile links kept the same on your site, review sites and listings.

A written check, the fixes on your site, then a recheck
You get a written check of how AI search tools see one of your services today, the fixes made on your site, and the same check run again.
-
A record of what AI tools say now
Your buyers' questions, asked in the AI tools they use, with the sources each one cites.
-
A check of what AI tools can read
Whether AI tools are allowed in and can read your text, and whether the page labels match what visitors see.
-
Answer-first copy for one service
The pages rewritten so each answers its question first, in plain words.
-
Structured data and llms.txt
Page labels for your services, questions and breadcrumb, and an llms.txt file, added to your site.
-
One set of brand facts
Your name, services and profile links, written once for your site and listings.
-
The recheck and a handover
The same questions asked again, with what changed, and notes your team can follow.
Pilot-first
A first GEO pilot: one service made easy for AI tools to quote
Pilot-first: we start with a small pilot on your own site, priced up front, before any full build. We pick one service, record what AI search tools say about it, fix what stops them reading your pages, and check again. On our own site, we publish an llms.txt file, and every AI service page carries structured data.
- What the pilot builds
- Answer-first copy, structured data that matches the page and an llms.txt file, for one service on your site.
- What you get
- A record of what AI tools cite before and after, the changes on your site, and a plan for your other services.
How generative engine optimization works
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the work of making your pages easy for AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to read, trust and quote. Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the same work aimed at direct answers. Neither can guarantee a citation, because the AI tool decides what it quotes.

Today
We record what each AI tool answers, and which sources it cites.
-
Your site
We fix what blocks AI tools, the page labels and llms.txt.
-
Answer
Each page answers its question first, in plain words.
-
Recheck
We ask the same questions again and compare.
- Question “Which agencies build B2B ordering portals?”
- Today We ask the AI tools and record the sources each one cites.
-
Your site
Checks the site's rules for AI tools (robots.txt): the ones you want are allowed in. -
Your site
Checks the page labels for the service, its questions and its breadcrumb: they match the text. -
Your site
Checks the llms.txt file: it lists the service page. - Answer The page answers the question in its first sentence.
- Recheck The same question, asked again, with the sources recorded.
Whether the AI tool quotes the page is its choice. We show you what changed.
We do on our own site what we would do on yours
We build the AI products these tools are part of. And we tell you plainly what no one can promise.
-
Done on our own site first
Our site publishes an llms.txt file, and our AI service pages carry structured data built from their own text.
-
Built around your site
We work on the site, CMS and pages you already run, instead of replacing them.
-
Honest about results
No one can promise a citation, because the AI tool decides. We record what it cites before and after.
-
Hours that overlap yours
We work on India Standard Time (IST): 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of London and 9.5 to 10.5 ahead of New York.
Changes that keep what already works in search
Every change on your pages is one that search engines and people both read, and each one is kept on record.
On every GEO project
- Structured data says only what the page already shows.
- Every change is for your visitors too; nothing is hidden or written only for AI.
- Every change goes on a private test link first, then into your code repository or CMS.
- A record of what AI tools cited before and after each change.
A fixed scope, and AI answers recorded before and after
The pilot covers one service, its questions and its pages. You see what AI tools say before we change anything, and again after.
The AI search tools and site tools we work with
Standard, widely used formats and tools, so your own team can keep the work up. We check the AI tools your buyers use, and make the changes on the site you already run.

Questions about GEO and AEO services
What is generative engine optimization?
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is making your pages easy for AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to read, trust and quote when they answer a question. It builds on SEO: the page still has to be crawlable and indexed, and then it has to answer clearly.
How is GEO different from SEO?
SEO works on where your pages rank in a list of results. GEO works on whether an AI answer reads your page and quotes it. Much of the groundwork is shared, such as crawlable, indexed pages. Our SEO page covers rankings; this page covers AI answers and citations.
What is AEO, and is it the same as GEO?
Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the same work aimed at direct answers, such as a voice assistant's reply or an answer box. In practice the steps overlap almost completely: a clear answer in the first sentence, facts that match everywhere, and structured data that says what the page says.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will cite us?
No. Nobody can, because the AI tool decides what it quotes, and answers change from one day to the next. What we can do is remove what stops a tool reading your pages and make the answer easy to quote, then record what the tools cite before and after.
Do we need an llms.txt file?
llms.txt is a proposal for a short plain-text (markdown) file at the root of your site that gives AI tools a map of your main pages. Google says it needs no such file for AI Overviews, so we treat llms.txt as an extra, not the main work.
Does schema markup help AI search?
Structured data helps AI tools and search engines read facts such as your services, questions and breadcrumbs, but Google says there is no special schema needed for its AI features. We add markup that matches the visible text, as on our own AI service pages, and never markup that says more than the page.
What does the GEO pilot include?
One service: the questions buyers ask about it, a record of what AI tools cite today, fixes to what blocks AI tools, the page labels, llms.txt and the copy on its pages, and the same check run again. You also get a plan for your other services.
What is not in the scope of the pilot?
Link building, paid ads, a full site redesign and rankings work for Google's regular results are outside the pilot. So is writing pages only for AI tools: everything we change is for your visitors too. If you need rankings work, our SEO team covers it.
How do you measure progress?
We ask the AI tools the same set of buyer questions before and after the changes and record the sources each one cites. We also check indexing in Search Console and visits from AI tools in your analytics. We report what changed, without turning it into a promise.
How much do GEO services cost?
It depends on the number of services and pages, and on how much copy needs rewriting. Tell us the service and the questions your buyers ask, and within two working days we come back with an approach, a rough timeline and a rough number.
How long does the pilot take?
It depends on the pages involved and how quickly changes can go live on your site. The scope is one service, so it stays small. We agree the timeline at the discovery call, and you see the baseline before we change anything.
Do you need access to our site, and who owns the changes?
We work only in the accounts you invite us into, such as your CMS or code repository, and you can remove access at any time. We sign an NDA before we start, on request. Every change is on your site and yours to keep.
Do you work with UK and US clients from India?
Yes. We sign an NDA before we start, on request, and work only in the accounts you invite us into. You can remove our access at any time, and every change on your site is yours to keep.
