Squarespace development

What we build on Squarespace

The kinds of sites we design and build on Squarespace, and the work we do on each.

Talk through your site →
  • Business and service websites

Brand-led sites on a template set up for your content, with pages, forms and navigation that make sense to your visitors.

  • Online stores on Squarespace Commerce

Products, variants, shipping, taxes and payments set up, with product pages that read well on a phone.

  • Booking sites with Scheduling

Appointment types, calendars, intake forms and reminders, so clients book and pay without emails back and forth.

  • Member areas and paid content

Pages, courses or a member library behind sign-in, on free or paid plans.

  • Portfolios and galleries

Image-led sites for studios, photographers and creative teams, with images sized so pages still load quickly.

  • Blogs and content sites

Blog layouts, categories, tags and SEO titles, set up so your team can publish without breaking the design.

Common Squarespace problems we fix

  • A template that never quite matched the brand
  • Mobile layouts that look cramped or break
  • Slow pages from oversized images and video
  • Old URLs that now lead to error pages
  • Custom code pasted in that nobody understands
  • A store or booking setup that confuses customers
  • A template chosen for your content, then adapted to your brand: fonts, colours, section layouts and the pages you need.

  • Squarespace setup and build

Pages, navigation, forms, blog and mobile layouts built in the editor, with your content loaded and checked.

  • Commerce, Scheduling and members

Stores, bookings and member areas set up end to end: products, payments, calendars, plans and the emails customers get.

  • Custom CSS and code blocks

Changes the editor cannot make on its own, added with custom CSS, code blocks and code injection, kept small and written down.

  • SEO and speed basics

Page titles, descriptions, clean URLs, redirects, image sizes and Search Console set up, so search engines can read the site.

  • Edits, new pages, fixes and checks after launch, on a monthly plan or when you need them.

Choosing a platform

Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or WordPress?

We work with all of them, so we have no reason to push you either way. This is how we help clients choose.

  • Squarespace fits when

    • You want a polished site live quickly from a designer template
    • You want to edit pages, products and bookings yourself, with no developer
    • A monthly plan with hosting and updates included suits you
Ask which fits your site →
  • Wix fits when

    • You want to place anything anywhere on a page with drag and drop
    • You want to add features from the Wix App Market
    • A small site you edit yourself, on a monthly plan
    See our Wix development →
  • Webflow fits when

    • Design control and animation matter more than ready-made templates
    • Your content fits CMS collections without custom logic
    • Hosting and updates should be handled for you
    See our Webflow development →
  • Need more than a site builder?

When your site needs custom features, a lot of content or full ownership of the code and hosting, WordPress is usually the better fit, and we can move your pages and URLs across.

    See our WordPress development →
  • When to move from Squarespace

Moving makes sense when you need features no block or extension offers, custom logic on your own data, or more control over hosting and speed. If staying fits better, we say so.

How we work

From first call to a live Squarespace site

The same way of working on every project.

Built in from the start

What goes into every Squarespace site

The parts that keep a Squarespace site easy to find, quick on a phone and safe to change.

Ask about your site →
  • Access you control

We work as a contributor on your site, with permissions you set and can remove at any time.

  • Mobile layouts checked

Every section checked at phone and tablet widths, not only on a laptop.

  • SEO settings filled in

Page titles, descriptions, URL slugs, image alt text, and the sitemap sent to Google Search Console.

  • Redirects from the old site

Every old URL mapped to its new page, so old links and bookmarks still land in the right place.

  • Images sized before upload

Photos exported at sensible sizes and video kept off the page until it is played.

  • Custom code written down

Any custom CSS or code injection commented and listed, so the next person can change it safely.

Speed, security and care

Fast, safe and kept up to date

Squarespace looks after the hosting and the platform. We look after the parts it leaves to you: image sizes, custom code, who has access and the SEO settings.

  • Fast pages

Images sized before upload, fewer heavy blocks and fonts, and video that loads only when played.

  • Checked changes

New sections and custom code tried on a hidden page first, then published once they look right.

  • Locked down

SSL on, two-step sign-in for every contributor, and only the permissions each person needs.

  • Looked after

Edits, new pages, SEO checks and fixes once the site is live.

Cost

What does a Squarespace site cost?

Every site is different, so we quote after a short call, not from a price list. Within two working days you get an approach, a rough timeline and a rough cost range, with the Squarespace plan the site would need. No charge, no commitment.

What changes the price

  • Scope

A new site, a redesign, or fixes and changes to the site you have.

  • Pages

How many pages and page types the site needs.

  • Features

A store, bookings, member areas, forms and the tools they connect to.

  • Content

Who writes the copy and supplies photos, and how much has to move from the old site.

  • Custom code

How far the design goes beyond what the editor does on its own.

  • Aftercare

Edits, new pages, SEO checks and fixes once the site is live.

FAQ

Squarespace website questions

Straight answers to what clients ask us most.

How much does a Squarespace website cost?

It depends on what you need: a new site, a redesign or changes to the site you have, and on how many pages and features are involved. We do not sell fixed packages. After a short call, we send an approach, a rough timeline and a rough cost range within two working days, with no charge and no commitment.

Do I pay Squarespace as well?

Yes. Squarespace bills you directly for your plan, which includes hosting, and for extras such as a domain, Scheduling or Member Areas. We help you pick the plan that covers what the site needs; our fee is separate.

Should I choose Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or WordPress?

We work with all of them, so the answer depends on your site. Squarespace and Wix suit small sites you want to edit yourself; Webflow suits design-led sites with hosting handled for you; WordPress suits sites that need custom features, a lot of content or full ownership. We tell you which fits after the first call.

Can you customise a Squarespace template beyond the editor?

Yes. Most changes are made in site styles and the section editor. Where those stop, we add custom CSS, code blocks or code injection, kept small and commented, so your team can keep editing the site.

Can you set up a Squarespace store, bookings or a member area?

Yes. We set up Squarespace Commerce with products, variants, shipping, taxes and payments; Squarespace Scheduling with appointment types, calendars and intake forms; and Member Areas for pages or content behind sign-in. Each is tested with test orders, bookings or sign-ups before launch.

Can you move my site to Squarespace?

Yes. We rebuild the design on a Squarespace template, move pages, blog posts, products and images, and map every old URL to its new address before the domain switches, so links and bookmarks land on the right page. Your current site stays live until then.

When should we move away from Squarespace?

When the site needs features no block or extension offers, custom logic on your own data, or more control over hosting and speed. Then WordPress, Webflow or a custom build may fit better, and we can move your content and URLs across. If Squarespace still fits, we say so.

Is Squarespace good for SEO?

It covers the basics: SSL, a sitemap, clean URLs, and page titles and descriptions you can edit. What matters is how they are filled in. We set the titles, descriptions, headings, image alt text and redirects, connect Google Search Console, and check the site after launch.

Who owns the site?

You do. The site and its billing sit in your own Squarespace account and the domain is registered to you. We work as a contributor you can remove at any time.

Do you work with companies outside India?

Yes. Our team is in Jaipur on IST, 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of London and 9.5 to 10.5 ahead of New York. Our UK company, Provis Global Ltd, is registered in the United Kingdom.
