Let AI Answer the Calls Your Team Can't Take
AI voice agents pick up after hours, at busy times and for bookings. They do only the jobs you allow and pass every other call to a person.
Why calls still go unanswered
Many calls are simple requests: a booking, a change, a question about an order. When they arrive after hours or while everyone is busy, the caller gets voicemail or a wait. A voice agent can take those calls and leave the rest to your team.
-
“After hours, every call goes to voicemail.”
The voice agent answers, books or takes the details, and your team picks it up in the morning.
-
“At busy times the phone rings while we are with customers.”
Overflow calls go to the voice agent, so the caller is helped instead of waiting.
-
“We would try it, but not if it makes things up to a caller.”
It does only the jobs you allow, checks your records before it confirms, and hands the rest to a person.
The calls a voice agent can take off your team
Most missed calls are the same few requests, many arriving after your team has gone home, and these are the voice agents we build for them. Our live voice work runs inside an app, so phone agents start as a pilot.
-
Booking and rescheduling calls
Takes a booking, moves one or cancels it, and checks your calendar before it confirms.
-
After-hours and overflow calls
Answers when your team cannot, takes the caller's details and reason, and sends your team a summary.
-
Order and appointment questions
Answers “where is my order?” or “when is my visit?” from your records. It reads them and changes nothing.
-
Voice inside your app
Lets your users ask by voice instead of typing, and talk with the app in a live voice call.

Pilot-first
A first pilot: one kind of call, answered on a test number
Pilot-first: we start with a small pilot on your own calls, priced up front, before any full build. We pick one kind of call with you, such as bookings or after-hours enquiries, and build a voice agent that answers it on a test number, so your team hears it before any customer does.
- What the pilot builds
- A voice agent for one kind of call, reading your calendar or records, with a hand-off to a person and a set of test calls.
- What you get
- The test calls and their transcripts, where the agent was right and where it was not, and a plan for putting it on your line.
How an AI voice agent works
An AI voice agent is software that answers a call, turns the caller's speech into text, works out what they want and replies in a natural voice. It does only the jobs you allow, such as booking a slot, checks your systems before it confirms, and passes the call to a person when it should.
-
Call
The agent answers when your team cannot: after hours, at busy times, or for one kind of call.
-
Listening
The caller's speech becomes text, so the agent can understand it.
-
Job choice
It picks one of the jobs you allow, or decides the call needs a person.
-
Your systems
It reads your calendar or records before it books or answers.
-
Reply
It answers in a natural voice and sends your team a summary.
- Call A caller rings after your office has closed.
- Listening “Hi, can I book a visit for Thursday morning?”
- Job choice The agent hears a booking, one of the jobs you allow.
-
Your systems
Checks the calendar: Thursday morning has open slots. -
Your systems
Books a slot and holds it with the caller's name and number. - Reply “Thursday morning is booked for you. Is there anything else?”
- Reply The caller asks about a refund. The agent has no refund job, so it takes a message.
The booking and the refund question are waiting for your team in the morning, with a note of the call.
Built by the team behind Gyanee.ai's in-app voice
We build voice agents the way we build our own AI products, on the systems you already run and with checks before anything is confirmed. We stay on after launch.
-
Live voice in an app we built
Gyanee.ai takes voice questions and live voice calls in Indian languages, inside its app.
-
Built around your systems
We connect the voice agent to the calendar and records you already use, so it checks them before it confirms.
-
Support after launch
We monitor the calls after launch, keep the voice agent updated and add jobs as you need them.
-
Hours that overlap yours
We work on India Standard Time (IST): 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of London and 9.5 to 10.5 ahead of New York.
Callers always know it is an AI and can reach a person
A caller cannot see the rules behind a voice agent, so the rules have to be in it. On every voice agent we build, we agree with you what it may say and do, what it must never say and when it passes the call to a person.
On every voice agent we build
- Only the jobs you sign off; anything else goes to a person.
- It checks your calendar or records before it confirms, never from memory.
- The caller hears that it is an AI, and can ask for a person at any time.
- A log and a transcript of every call, with usage limits.
From a test number to calls answered on your line
We start with one kind of call and prove the agent on test calls, then add more once the first has proved itself. Each step is priced up front.
The models and tools we build voice agents with
Standard, widely used tools, so another team could take the code over. We choose the speech and language models for your callers' languages and your data rules, and build on your systems, in your cloud.

Questions about AI voice agent development
What is an AI voice agent?
Software that answers a call, understands what the caller says, and replies in a natural voice. It does only the jobs you give it, such as booking a slot or checking an order, reads your systems before it confirms anything, and passes the call to a person when the request is outside those jobs.
How is a voice agent different from a phone menu (IVR)?
An IVR plays a menu and waits for a key press. A voice agent lets the caller say what they want in their own words, works out the job and does it, or passes the call to a person. It can also sit behind one option of the menu you already have.
How do we start a phone voice agent?
With a pilot. Our live voice work is inside an app: Gyanee.ai, an app we built, takes voice questions and live voice calls in Indian languages. A pilot brings that work to your phone line, on test calls first.
Can it book appointments into our calendar?
Yes, if your calendar or booking system can be read and written by software. The agent checks for open slots, books one only after the caller agrees, and can move or cancel a booking. It reads the calendar before it confirms, so it does not offer a slot that is already taken.
Will callers know they are talking to an AI?
Yes. We set every voice agent we build to say so at the start of the call, and the caller can ask for a person at any time. You choose the voice, the greeting and the words it uses, and you sign them off before launch.
What happens when the agent cannot help?
It stops and passes the call on. Depending on what you choose, it transfers the call to a person, or takes the caller's details and reason and sends your team a note. A request outside the jobs you allow always goes to a person.
Which languages can it speak?
That depends on the speech service we choose. Gyanee.ai's voice uses Sarvam AI and works in Indian languages. For your agent we choose the speech service by your callers' languages and accents, and we test it on calls in those languages during the pilot.
Can it answer calls on our existing number?
That is the aim. Your current number can forward calls to the agent, for example after hours or when no one picks up, so callers keep the number they know. How your phone system connects is one of the things we check at the discovery call.
How do you handle call recordings and personal data?
We agree with you what is recorded, where it is kept and who can hear it. With hosted models from OpenAI or Anthropic, data is processed by that provider; with open models on your own servers, it stays inside your network. We work only in accounts you invite us into.
How much does a voice agent cost?
Three things drive the cost: how many kinds of call the agent handles, how many systems it reads or books into, and how many languages it speaks. Tell us about your calls, and within two working days we come back with an approach, a rough timeline and a rough number.
How long does it take to build?
It depends on the calls and the systems. We start with a pilot on one kind of call, so you hear the agent on test calls before it goes live, and add more calls once that one works. We agree the timeline at the discovery call.
Who owns the code?
You do. The code goes into your own code repository, and the cloud account and domain are in your company's name. Our team joins as collaborators, and you can remove our access at any time. We sign an NDA before we start, on request.
Do we need a voice agent or call analytics?
A voice agent answers live calls as they happen. Call analytics works on recorded calls afterwards: it transcribes, scores and summarises them. Analysing your recorded calls first can show which requests repeat often enough to hand to a voice agent.
Do you work with UK and US clients from India?
Yes. We sign an NDA before we start, on request, and work only in the accounts you invite us into. A written weekly update and a demo keep you up to date.
