Next.js development

Next.js Development Company for Fast Web Apps and Storefronts

We build Next.js web apps, storefronts and dashboards for businesses in the US, UK and India. Server-rendered pages that load fast and get found, often as a new front end on the backend you already run.

  • Next.js Web Apps App Router, server components and the APIs behind them.
  • New Front End, Same Backend A faster site on the PHP, Laravel or Python backend you have.
  • Speed and Search Server-rendered pages that load fast and get found.

What we do

Next.js development services

Web apps, storefronts and dashboards built with Next.js, and the support that keeps them fast after launch.

Book a free Next.js consultation The Chitra website, built in Next.js by Provis, on a laptop, beside the Chitra app on a phone
  • Web apps on the App Router, with server components, route handlers and sign-in, built around your users.

  • A new front end on your backend

A Next.js front end on the PHP, Laravel or Python API you already run, without starting the backend again.

  • Fast, server-rendered product listings and pages, checkout included, with tracking and ads set up in the build.

  • Admin, partner and agent panels for your product, on the same API as your app and website.

  • Sites and blogs on a headless CMS

Marketing sites with the blog run from headless WordPress, so your team edits content without a developer.

  • Next.js and dependency upgrades, Core Web Vitals fixes and new features after launch, one change at a time.

Choosing a framework

Next.js, a React SPA or something else?

We build with all of them, so we have no reason to push you either way. This is how we help clients choose.

  • Next.js

    Choose it when

    • Pages need to be found in search and load fast on phones
    • You want static, cached and server-rendered pages in one app
    • Your website and your logged-in app should share one codebase
    • You want a faster front end without replacing your backend
  • A React SPA

    Choose it when

    • The whole app sits behind a login and search does not matter
    • You already have an API and want a front end that only calls it
    • It is embedded in another product or ships as static files
  • Vue or Node.js

    Choose one when

    • Your team already writes Vue and wants to stay with it
    • The hard part is the API, real-time features or background jobs
    • You need a backend that several apps and websites share

How we work

Why Provis

Why work with Provis on Next.js

Six things you can check before you hire us.

  • We stay after launch

MotionLasers and Electric Sailboat Depot are still supported by the team that built them.

  • We keep what works

MotionLasers kept its PHP backend: restructured and extended, not started again.

  • You see it as it is built

A preview link and your own repo from the start, with a written weekly update and a demo.

  • Yours from day one

Code repo, cloud account and domain in your company's name; you can remove our access at any time.

  • Picked up without a gap

When a founder paused his project, we picked it up “without missing a step”, in his words.

  • Hours that overlap yours

We are on IST: 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of London, 9.5 to 10.5 ahead of New York.

Speed, security and care

Fast at launch. Still fast after it.

A Next.js app is quick when it is built right and kept up to date. We measure speed before and after, ship every change through a preview, and keep the framework and its dependencies current.

  • Core Web Vitals

Server rendering, optimised images and less JavaScript in the browser, measured before and after on desktop and mobile.

  • A preview before production

Every change goes to a preview link first, then to your live site once you have seen it.

  • Upgrades on schedule

Next.js, React and dependency updates applied and tested, so security fixes do not pile up.

  • Secrets kept on the server

API keys stay in server code and environment settings, access is kept tight, and the site is monitored once live.

Cost

What does a Next.js project cost?

Every project is different, so we quote after a short call, not from a price list. Within two working days you get an approach, a rough timeline and a rough cost range. No charge, no commitment.

What changes the price

  • Pages and features

How many page types, user roles and flows, and which need to be server-rendered.

  • Design

Your existing design system, or screens designed from scratch in Figma.

  • Backend and APIs

Using the API you have, reworking it, or building a new one beside the front end.

  • Integrations

CMS, sign-in, payments, analytics and any other services the app connects to.

  • Migration

Moving from an old front end or the Pages Router, with every URL kept or redirected.

  • Support after launch

Monitoring, upgrades, fixes and new features once the app is live.

FAQ

Next.js development questions

Straight answers, with the project behind each one.

How much does Next.js development cost?

It depends on the pages and features, the design, whether we use your existing API or build one, the integrations and any migration. We do not sell fixed packages. After a short call, we send an approach, a rough timeline and a rough cost range within two working days, with no charge and no commitment.

How long does a Next.js project take?

A marketing site or a new front end on an API you already have takes far less time than a full web app with its own backend. We give you a realistic timeline after the first call. MotionLasers' storefront was rebuilt in five phases, from planning to support after launch.

Should I use Next.js or plain React?

Next.js is React with routing, server rendering and caching built in. Choose it when pages must be found in search and load fast, or when a website and an app share one codebase. A plain React single-page app suits tools that sit entirely behind a login. We build both and tell you which fits after the first call.

Can you build a Next.js front end on our existing backend?

Yes. MotionLasers kept its PHP backend: we restructured key parts, reworked the API responses to come back faster, and put a new Next.js storefront in front of it. We have also built Next.js front ends on Laravel and on Python FastAPI backends.

Is Next.js good for SEO?

Yes, when it is set up for it. Pages are rendered on the server or built ahead of time, so search engines get full HTML, and each page gets its own title, description, sitemap entry and structured data. On a rebuild we keep or redirect every old URL so rankings carry over.

Do you use the App Router and server components?

Yes, on new builds: the App Router, server components, route handlers and server actions, with client components only where a page needs them. We also maintain Pages Router apps, and move them to the App Router when the gain is worth the work.

Where do you host Next.js apps?

On Vercel, or on your own cloud, such as AWS, often in Docker behind nginx. Electric Sailboat Depot runs on AWS. Whichever you choose, the hosting account, the code repository and the domain are in your company's name.

Can you take over or upgrade an existing Next.js app?

Yes. We read the code, list what is risky or out of date, then upgrade Next.js, React and the dependencies on a preview before anything reaches your live site. Electric Sailboat Depot came to us after two earlier developers; we built its platform new from the founder's scope rather than on the old code, and we still support it.

Which backends and CMSs do you pair with Next.js?

In our case studies: a PHP backend (MotionLasers), Laravel (Electric Sailboat Depot) and Python FastAPI with PostgreSQL (Gyanee.ai and Chitra), with blogs run from headless WordPress. We also build the API in Node.js when that suits the project.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. Our team is in Jaipur on IST, 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of London and 9.5 to 10.5 ahead of New York, and works with clients in the US, the UK, Europe, Australia and the UAE. Our UK company, Provis Global Ltd, is registered in the United Kingdom.
