Job description

You will work on SaaS platforms, eCommerce back ends and client web applications, with Laravel and MySQL at the core. You will take features from specification to production and work directly with the people who talk to our clients.

Responsibilities

Analysing website and application requirements.
Designing and building applications with Laravel.
Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
Building back-end portals on well-designed databases.
Developing APIs and integrating third-party services.
Troubleshooting application and code issues.
Integrating data storage solutions.
Testing web applications and finalising back-end features.
Improving existing features for performance.
Documenting and reporting on the work you do.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Working knowledge of Laravel or a similar PHP framework.
Experience with PHP, unit testing and REST APIs.
A solid understanding of application design in Laravel.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Object-oriented PHP.
Experience building applications that scale.
Comfortable with Git.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Able to plan and manage your own work.
Good problem-solving skills.
